*~Deb's Kids~*

I always wanted a boy and a girl and was lucky enough to be granted a son and a daughter. Here is a bit about them. They are 2 1/2 years apart in age. I have really enjoyed being their mother! Below are newborn pictures of them.


My 1st born Joshua

I gained 54 pounds during my pregnancy with Joshua, and it was all belly! My labor with him woke me up at 5 am in July of 1989. I didn't have any pain killers during his birth, and it hurt but I was able to focus and do alright with it. He was born at 5:03 pm. Tim was in with me and cut Joshua's cord, but it was actualy the 2nd cut, because Josh's cord was around his neck, and it needed to be cut as soon as his head came out. 		My 2nd born Samantha

I gained 49 pounds during my pregnancy with Samantha, and it was also all belly! My labor with her also woke me up at 5 am in Jan of 1992. Labor with Samantha hurt a lot more than it did with Joshua. They gave me some sort of shot in my iv, but it only made me feel light headed and did nothing for the pain. I've always said I really earned my daughter. lol She was born at 3:44 pm Tim was in with me and also cut Samantha's cord

I was really lucky to have these two kids, outside of the typical sibling rivalry that you get with any kids; they have been pretty easy kids to raise so far. They get good grades, Joshua is in the chess club, Joshua was in school Band, Samantha is in school Choir, and neither of them have ever been in any major trouble. I do keep them in line and give them guidance when needed, but they both have pretty good heads on their shoulders when it comes to making choices. Especially since loosing their father to cancer I am grateful for each day I have to be their mother.
