Cool Chicks Island
Apple Pie
Chapter 6
Apple began to study about parenting. She was amazed by all she learned when reading the book Babies R US.
Apple soaked in every word and then carried out what she learned with Summer. For the first time Apple was
realizing what it was to be a mother. With that came many regrets from her past with her son’s.
Julien was still bringing the boys by to see Apple but his emotions toward her went hot and cold. Apple
grew cold when Julien would and it was a shame because it’s obvious these two belong together. Julien wasn’t
sure if he could trust Apple and Apple didn’t know how to trust anyone anymore.
Apple found a sitter for Summer while she attended Berry’s next birthday. He grew into a child well and had
a roof raiser party.
Apple sat across from Berry watching him eat and marveled at how handsome he was. She didn’t get to see
Berry as often because both families had little one’s to look after.
That night she asked Julien to get a sitter and invited him over to spend the night. Really she just
wanted someone to hold her and tell her everything would be alright but she kept those thoughts to herself.
For the first time since she feel pregnant with Chad and Brad she and Julien woo hoo’d. Apple thought for
sure they would finally have the relationship she had craved for a long time now.
When Julien went home and didn’t return Apple’s calls for a few days, she called an old friend she knew who would be
happy to see her, Benjamin Long. She met him at the local bar years back. Sadly enough though Apple found Benjamin no
longer fulfilled the needs her heart now has.
Apple began to have a familiar sickness but kept telling herself that she must just have that flu bug going around.
Apple finally got Julien to answer her calls and the two talked honestly and more open than ever before for hours.
